Slim pickings again this week, but I do like this one of the fresh snow on the mountains.

I suppose this is actually the best shot of the week. Taken in eastern Washington on our way to the state high school cross country meet.


BUT this is my favorite of the week. My son (on the right) talked some of his college friends into driving up from California to surprise his friend (and us) as he ran to win the state championship. He ran an incredible race winning by over 16 seconds and breaking the course record. His time for the 5K (3.1 miles) was 15:06.

365 Layouts in 365 Days.

Upon the completion of the October LayOut a Day Challenge my friend Lee encouraged us all to sign on to complete 365 layouts in 365 days. Thankfully there is no pressure.... Thankfully our start date was October first so I already had 31 layouts done. So far in November I've completed 6 layouts for the 8 days. Hopefully I'll catch up this next week. All but the Monk Seal layout were done using sketches from Feeling Scrappy's Sketchapalooza 5 Class!

More Slippers

Kelsey liked mine so much she asked me to make her a pair. I'm glad they are fun and easy to make!

Socks!

I finished these a few days ago, but I'm just getting round to getting a photo up! I think these are my favorite socks that I have knit!

A finished quilt! This quilt is my own design inspired by a wooden wall hanging I saw at Pottery Barn. Measures about 30" square.

Productive October.....

I must have been feeling quite crafty in October! This is what I accomplished:
43 scrapbook pages done, using 233 photos!
15 cards done!
3 baby hats knitted
1 pair of socks knitted (still need to get photos to post)

Ahhhh, it feels so good to finish things! Maybe for November I should work on some quilts that are almost done.

I had so much fun with the LOAD Challenge that I took my friend Lee up on her challenge of doing 365 layouts in 365 days.....So far so good! :D I know I will falter at times.....like at Christmas and vacations.... but there is no pressure just a friendly encouragement from a wonderfully talented group of ladies.
